About the Department

 

       The Department of Physics, Adhiparasakthi Engineering College was started in 1984 through the pioneering vision of “Arul Thiru Amma”, Department of Physics constantly gives the major support  towards the first year students of Engineering and technology by providing theory and practical classes in Physics. Our department consists of well qualified faculties. It has grown into a department of research, with excellent active research by our faculty members in the following discipline, including Crystallography, Applied Spectroscopy, Thin Films, etc. The department has equipped laboratories through which creative ideas are implanted in the minds of the students.

Milestones

 

     The Department of Physics was established in the year 1984 through the pioneering vision of “Arul Thiru  Amma”, and our Department was recognized as “Research Centre” by Anna University, Chennai in 2009.

Research

Active research is being done in the Physics Wing under the following thrust areas of Physics: Crystallography, Applied Spectroscopy, Thin Films, Laser Optics, Bio-Physics, etc.,
